At Columbia Aikikai in Columbia, SC, in 2006 is me, Lamar Sanders, uke is Walt Patterson. In the background, left to right are: Scott Mowry, Michelle Sanders Farris (my daughter), and Binh Nguyen. Nowadays, I hold my 18 month old granddaughter, Ava, in my left arm while throwing my daughter Michelle here and there on the mat. Ava and I are weaving, pivoting, and throwing, with Michelle rolling, and all three of us laughing! Ava sometimes does her sankyo wrist-loosening exercises while getting her diapers changed. I record her hours in my class roll along with her mother's.
